This is my 3rd time photographing this beautiful family. I took Amanda’s maternity photos as well as Merrick’s newborn photos and now here he is at almost 4 months! We started their session with some indoor shots of only Merrick before moving outside to a beautiful sunlit evening! Merrick got tired towards the end of our session and fell asleep which let us get some photos of only Amanda and Cameron which was nice! Don’t forget to get in some photos with your honey every now and then 🙂 And now for their photos…..

Isn’t Lillie the cutest? I was so excited when her mama (who happens to be a long time friend of mine) asked me if I would take some photos of them while they were down for a visit. Capturing mommies with their babies is just one of my favorite. It melts my heart so much. I hope you are enjoying your photos Lauren! Lillie is so sweet.

This year I will be participating in a monthly blog circle with some lovely ladies over at Clickin Moms. Each month will consist of a specific challenge that we have all month to complete. For our first month our challenge was “Closeup Portraiture”. I found this challenge to be extremely fun as I have a love of closeup portraiture already. I used this challenge to play with a couple different light situations and I even got a self portrait in there! I’ve found my favorite types of close ups are when my subject is not even looking, I just love focusing on the details. I have a few newborn sessions coming up and I can’t wait to get some closeups of all their little squishy parts.

And now for my images:

Now go take a look at Nina’s lovely closeup portraiture. You can find her blog post here.

I’m a bit late posting week three, but here they are:

I love that my girl loves to read. She loves bringing me books to read to her.

I love when Daddy gets home in the evenings. Here they are building “boffs” in Finley’s princess tent.

This is our morning routine. When she wakes up I go and get her and bring her back into bed for a bit. She loves to snuggle for a few minutes, but quickly asks for some Elmo.

Just a little Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with Daddy.
